#HorrorNEWS Alien: Romulus | Official Trailer

Dang.. Is Alien about to get its own revival like Predator with Prey?

Who thought it would be Fede Alvarez, not Ridley Scott, that would resurrect the Alien franchise? It's giving me better vibes than all past films in the series.

#horrorNEWS Alien: Romulus | Teaser Trailer

Please don't suck! Please don't suck! Please don't suck!

There's a trailer out for the new Alien. This looks and seems promising so far. Please don't end up like Convenent....!!!!

Looks good. But there's some rumors to some Prometheus/Convenent connections... I hope not.. or just the black goo and nothing else...

This Alien: Romulus better be as good as Prey... I wanna see my two favorite scifi monsters back in form....

#MoviesNEWS Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes | Teaser Trailer

And here's the 4th installement in the rebooted Planet of the Apes film series, following the break after Disney's aquisition of Fox... I hope this turns out ok, they better not have messed up with this production...

Still looks pretty darn good.

#MovieNEWS PREY Trailer (2022) Predator 5

The trailer for Predator 5/the Predator prequel is here! And like I anticipated it's not even titled Predator, it's simply called Prey. More on my previous Predator/Alien naming scheme theory after the trailer.*

It does look pretty cool, even if it's a lot simpler visually and obviously more low budget.

The new Pred looks a bit low tech, but I dig it. The bone-mask and it has a kickass shield. Sweet.

People complaining a Native American with no access to modern tech will defeat a Predator is unbelievable.. have probably not seen the previous Predator films. Because Arnie didn't defeat the Predator with grenades and bazookas.. but by going low tech as well, with traps and all.

*As for the naming scheme theory: I like how, coincidence or not, the Predator franchises as pretty much completely followed up on the Alien series. Same similar titles, same similar films. Even the reception's of each film's basically the same and we can predict a lot of things with the numbering system alone - keeping the AVP series aside.

Check this out:

Alien - Predator: the original films, a scifi/war film that takes a straight turn into a horror/slasher film. The original films are still referenced to this day, the better well received titles in both franchises, and quality films from all-time renowned film directors.

Aliens - Predator 2: the sequel takes more focus into action. Still a very good film. Lots of debates among fans that rank it as good or better than the first film. A classic all in all. Also more lore. More creatures this time around, the fans would love collecting figures of said variant creatures for years to come.

Alien 3 - Predators: a return to the simpler, more down-to-earth concept of the original. Basically a retreat back to the tone and style of the original. Lots of fans loved it even though the critics didn't. But still a success for the series, even if a bit down-graded compared to the first two classic films.

Alien Resurrection - The Predator: now this is the point of no-return in the series, despite some success on release, the series kind of ended here. Too much humor, silly jokes. Too much focus on a gang of zany humans. The new added lore gets too convulsed, going into DNA modification, cloning... It's a strange scifi comedy film that has its fans, the film isn't ugly to look at, but very little of horror anymore. Also the new CGi creature looks just plain bad. The ending is a whole story, with reshoots, different endings.. I never expected to see the studios following on this one with a sequel.

And what do we have here? Well, aside from AVP like I wrote above, with the Alien series we got...

Prometheus: another return back to basics. With a prequel, with a weird different title. Much more successful with the critics and fans, at the time. Which would grant it a sequel, under the Alien moniker again. But fans have kind of dismissed it over the years. Still, the film kinda brought back the series, even if it never was the same, now exploring prequel-themes and other elements the director wanted.

So not going into Alien Covenant here, I always expected a Predator prequel to be announced. Not only to confirm my theory, but because from a studio and critical point of view it was the easier route to follow. So all in all.. wait and see!

#DisneyNEWS And also..

And also, here's some more random tidbits that caught my eyes from that Disney Investors-thingie.

Looks like we're finally getting that Y: The Last Man live action adaptation, in the form of a new series on FX and Hulu:

Great, but I was hoping for a teaser trailer...

And with the announcement of a new Predator film, now under the 20th Century Studios banner, it's time for the Alien franchise with..

"Expect a scary thrill ride set not too far in the future here on Earth." Oh huh.. not sure I dig this tagline. Is this a prequel/sequel to Alien Resurrection with a devastated Earth? I never liked the idea of the Alien franchise heading to Earth, comics or otherwise... Wait and see..

#MarvelNEWS The New Mutants | Attitude TV Spot | 20th Century Studios

Here's a new TV spot for New Mutants. Which is now coming from Disney's 20th Century Studios! So long, Fox!

Is this the last of the Fox-era X-Men films? Or the first of the Marvel-era X-Men films? I suppose it depends on if this does well. They might incorporate it, like they announced for Deadpool.

Anyways, I gotta say this is starting to look great, which is kinda sad when you think how long this has been coming...

New Mutants hits theaters April 3.

#MarvelNEWS The New Mutants | Official Trailer | 20th Century FOX

I'm pretty sure everybody forgot this was coming. I mean as much as Channing Tatum's Gambit. Only instead of eternally stuck in limbo, this one suffered from multiple rewrites and edits in the middle of the Disney aquisition of 20th Century Fox... Poor mutants, even in movie filming they get the hunted and persecuted! And looks like Marvel Films/Disney is keeping this one under the Fox umbrella. To avoid confusion from their eventual X-Men reboot?

#MovieNEWS Free Guy | Official Trailer | 20th Century FOX

Ryan Reynolds seem to star in a lot of fun projects. And he keeps going on. Even when he ends up on a dud like Green Lantern or RIPD. Nothing seems to slow him down. Like he's just having fun with his films. And now he's starring as a NPC in a video game-movie. And this thing seems pretty fun!

It's like a weird Tron prequel/spinoff! A NPC soft becoming sentient!

This is also one of the first Disney!Fox films produced. So a 20th Century Fox film can mention Disney films in their marketing! We're living weird times!

#CartoonNEWS Alien: 40th Anniversary Shorts | Official Teaser | ALIEN ANTHOLOGY

20th Century Fox might be closing, but one of the last things they're going to do is produced an animated Alien Anthology comprised of various shorts for the 40th Anniversary of the Alien saga. Check it out!

Looking good so far!

#MarvelNEWS Dark Phoenix | Official Trailer [HD] | 20th Century FOX

Here's the trailer for what might possibly be the last 20th Century Fox X-Men movie, before Marvel brings them into the fold.

And a much better international trailer:

This movie has way more throwbacks to X-Men 3: The Last Stand than I expected, I was waiting for something closer to the comics with scifi, space, etc. Sure you also get that, but also a ton of costumes, hairstyles and whatnot inspired by X3....

#MarvelNEWS X-MEN DARK PHOENIX Trailer #2 International (NEW 2019) Superhero Movie HD

This new international trailer shows a lot more of this upcoming new X-Men film, Dark Phoenix:

#DCnews Gotham Season 5 Movie Trailer (HD) Final Season

I see this show's still pretty much bat-shit insane. And it's only getting weirder/worst/better...?

Is this last season turning into Batman's Year One? But...but.. he's still a little kid...!!

#MarvelNEWS Once Upon A Deadpool | NICKELBACK | 2018

I'm still gonna love the film even if turns out to be Deadpool 2 with Fred Savage scenes or a surprise new movie with 5% Deadpool 2 in there. All I want is more meta-Deadpool jokes! The comics never needed a hard R-rating anyways!

#MovieNEWS Dark Phoenix | Official Trailer [HD] | 20th Century FOX

Technically, this is gonna be Fox's last X-Men film as it is. Disney might keep Fox open as a subsidiary, but it's gonna be Fox's last X-Men film anyways.

...and it's a remake of The Last Stand! Let's hope it's better than that last attempt...

Dark Phoenix will hit theaters on June 7, 2019

#MovieNEWS The Predator | Final Trailer [HD] | 20th Century FOX

The film's just around the corner, but it's still so mysterious...

Here's the final trailer, which finally shows much better the tone of the film, even if things still seem pretty obscure regarding the plot:

Finally, this new trailer makes the film seem pretty fun and it doesn't seem to take itself too seriously either.

And here's a look at the new film's new "super Predator"!

The Predator will be released this September 14

#MovieNEWS The Predator | Official Trailer [HD] | 20th Century FOX

This new trailer for Shane Black's The Predator does make the film seem a bit more interesting and fun, but I'm entirely not sold on this CGi super-predator. Robert Rodriguez' super Predators were better in my eyes... (Less CGi over-the-top huge build...)

#MovieRecap DEADPOOL 2

For a movie that had remained titled “the untitled Deadpool sequel” I was kind of expecting to see the final product simply called “Cable & Deadpool” as a reference to the long-running comic series.

But I suppose Deadpool 2 works too.

Yesterday evening I went for a late night screening of Deadpool 2 over here. And to make things short, simply put, I loved it!

#Randomz Deadpool 2 - The First 10 Years

Here's a great look at 10 Years of Deadpool in movies.

That's right, you read that right.

This is a fun silly tie-in the new film that DOES INCLUDE X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Which has now become a big joke, but still very much part of Fox's X-Men series. And just like that it now has been 10 years that "Deadpool" was first introduced to the main audience.

A fun featurette in the style Marvel's been making around Infinity Wars, which just works out great for this Deadpool joke. I know can't see wherew Ryan Reynolds, the actor, ends and where Deadpool, the character, starts..

Also, be sure to read the official description of the video on youtube, it's worth a read as well!
