#FightingNEWS Dragon Ball FighterZ - Season 3 Trailer - PS4/XB1/PC/SWITCH

Season 3 of Dragon Ball FighterZ begins on 26 February! And it promises a lot of changes to the core gameplay... but also some sweet new faces!

First up - yet another Goku! Ultra Instinct Goku! I'm kinda... mixed on this. He looks awesome... but.. you know.. another Goku. And second, we will get Kefla! The awesome saiyan fusion from DBS's final arc! LOVE IT! LOVE THEM! Loved the little bit with Caulifla and Kale. I kinda wish we also get them separated, to be honest.

#FightingNEWS #EVO2019 announcements

Here's a bunch of fighting game news, straight from #EVO 2019!

First up Ed Boon & Netherrealm Studios finally showed ONE of the upcoming new DLC characters for Mortal Kombat 11's Kombat Pack , fan-favorite Nightwolf! (Sorry Sindel, and even worse, Mileena fans, nothing for you guys..)

During EVO 2019's big Dragon Ball FighterZ finals, Arc System Works officially announced Janemba and Gogeta with the following trailer. And Janemba's getting released this week no less!

And while I might not be a big fan of it, let's not skip French Bread's update for their 2D fighter Under Night In-Birth: EXE Late[cl-r]. Yeah. Such a weird silly name. But things look pretty decent though:

Slightly ahead of schedule for EVO, thanks to a Valve/Steam leak, the announcement of more Street Fighter V DLC characters! All available right ahead! Fans wanted E.Honda for so long.. and we even got two more Final Fight guest, thanks Ono!

One of the big announcements of EVO was Harada announcing a major update for TEKKEN 7 as well as a new Season 3 that will include a bunch of changes, stages and characters. Starting with a fan much requested return and a newcomer for T7:

BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle is getting EVEN MORE characters! It's not the best game ever.. but I love it!

SNK probably confirmed development on the new King of Fighters XV with the following logo:

As well as the full roster of DLC (which includes a free character) for the Samurai Shodown reboot - along the confirmation of a Season 2 coming in 2020 with more DLC characters! PLEASE ADD IROHA, SNK!!

And while we're on the subject, NAMCO revealed the last character coming to Soul Calibur VI....

...As well as a confirmation of a Season 2 which will no less than a guest character from SNK... HAOMARU himself from Samurai Shodown!!! I love seeing all these SNK characters pop up in all sorts of fighters, lately!

But the best announcement came form ArcSys who just announcement a brand new Guilty Gear for 2020! Look how beautiful it looks! Even better than Xrd! It looks like working on Dragon Ball and Kill la Kill sure helped them master this new graphics style & engine!

#FightingNEWS at EVO'18

Some great news came out at EVO regarding some of my current favorite fighting games!

First up, after all this time TEKKEN 7's finally getting some new characters! Including 2 classic characters, 1 guest and 3 new faces later on. Here's the Season Pass 2 Reveal featuring.... the very random addition of Negan from AMCs The Walking Dead!

With Harada you never know what to expect... but you can always guess what he's currently into. He used to love the manga Gon back in the 90s, and was totally into Final Fantasy XV last year. Looks like he loves The Walking Dead series...

Street Fighter V randomly got two new characters today, after Ono's surprise playful announcement at the event, newcomer "G" and old school Sagat!

And since Base Goku & Vegeta are joining Dragon Ball FighterZ this Wednesday, August 8th, they also announced the arrival of the new character, Frieza's own non-canon brother, Cooler!

#FightingNEWS Base Goku & Vegeta for Dragon Ball FighterZ DLC

If you thought there weren't enough Gokus and Vegetas in FighterZ, here comes more as DLCs!

It's the long rumored and now confirmed Base Goku and Base Vegeta forms which will come early August:

Goddammit... So this basically confirms the next and last ones for this first season of DLC will be Cooler and 17... The last half of these DLCs have been pretty boring, if you ask me.. Sigh..

#FightingNEWS Kill la Kill the Game: IF Anime Expo 2018 Trailer

Arc System Works released a new teaser trailer for their upcoming Kill la Kill game. And it looks pretty darn good and faithful to the anime so far, although there's not much to be seen so far:

This won't be a proper 2D fighter like DBFighterZ. But is it a beat 'em all? A 3D fighter like Tekken? A brawler like Power Stone/Smash Bros.?? What is the cast of playable characters gonna be like? We don't know any of this for now...

The game is called Kill la Kill the Game: IF (just a silly pun or full on What if? scenarios like those recent Dragon Ball fighting games?) and it is slated for a 2019 release on PS4 and Steam.

#AnimeNEWS DRAGON BALL SUPER - NEW MOVIE TEASER [HD]

In case you haven't been following, the current Dragon Ball revival series, Dragon Ball Super, is coming to an end. At least, on hiatus. But the series' not over! Toei isn't going to end Drtagon Ball any time soon, since the show's more popular than ever!

While the anime gets a break, the manga is going to continue past new horizons.

Oh, and there's an upcoming animated film coming to the big screens worldwide at the end of the year!

So far this picture was the only teaser we had. It showed a new art style direction for animated Dragon Ball. With the anime going into the expert hands of the people, animators and directors, behind the One Piece anime and films. Slightly simpler style to animated while keeping the basic designs. Brighter and more colorful art.

Then a little preview showed what SSJ Goku will look like:

And finally they just released a short teaser trailer!!

I can see the One Piece bouncy animation already! I dig it!

Also, despite being glimpsed here, the plot might be super-apparent (pun intended). The film will apparently finally revolve around the Saiyajin race! You can see quick shots of some sort of saiyan enemy in this teaser.

Fans have been expecting either a story in the past history of saiyans, which has been teased by Toriyama over countless interviews and guide books over the years. Or a story taking place in the alternate universe where saiyans are good guys, in Super. But I expect Goku and Vegeta finding out more of their race in one way or another, and then a conflict of interest for the surviving (and Prince of) saiyans we know and love!

The film is expected for 14 December in Japan. An original story, script, and character designs by Akira Toriyama.

And while we're on the subject, look who's coming to Dragon Ball FighterZ next week as DLCs... more saiyans! (Coincidence?)

Wow! Even the music's pretty good in these teasers! When's the music DLC coming up? I need to get rid of the bland GuiltyGear/BlazeBlue music of the base game quick!!

#GamingNEWS Bardock & Broly join Dragon Ball FighterZ as DLC!

The first upcoming DLC for Dragon Ball FighterZ  is.. pretty decent, and exactly as expected! Although I fear for what's coming next instead of fun, original and creative additions...

As they've been long-rumored, the first duo of DLC characters joining the fighting game are Bardock, Son Goku's dad, and Broly, the legendary OC super saiyajin! And I love the fact Bardock's getting a SSJ attack like his recent TV special from a couple of years back.

They say how Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 players will get a free  Android 21 while Dragon Ball FighterZ can unlock a new Supreme Kai lobby character & stamp by owning both games!

And the tiny newsbit on the bottom left cornermentions an upcoming DLC adding the original Dragon Ball theme songs in the game - Makafushigi, Cha-La, and Dan Dan from GT (!!). But I'm fairly sure this will remain a Japan-exclusive DLC, sadly...

I can't wait to have Bardock in the game! So I can play with my Goku-not-Goku team of Goku/Bardock/Black!

More female characters next time, please? It's such a sausage-fest right now.. (Gimme Videl! Or DB!Chi Chi! Or Caulifla! Or Goku's mom... etc.)

#FightingNEWS Dragon Ball FighterZ - PS4/XB1/PC - SSGSS power: ON!

I'm still undecided if I like or not the fact Arc Systems' putting some Dragon Ball Super stuff into their much hyped upcoming fighting game Dragon Ball FighterZ. But, hey! At least the game does look GREAT!!!

If it was just about adding some Super content to tie-in into the shoe, I would have preferred some characters (Caulifla? Kale?) instead of more superforms and keep those later super attacks-related.

#FightingNEWS BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle

I always wantedd to see Arc Systems finally cross over BlazBlue and their original fighting series Guilty Gear. Sadly it seems this won't be the case just yet... But they did announce a new special episode of BlazBlue at EVO!

BlazBlue will have a 3-way crossover with other fan favorite series.

Blazblue Cross Tag Battle is a new crossover fighting game featuring Blazblue, Persona 4 Arena, and Under Night in-Birth! Ruby Rose from RWBY.

Since it's a crossover game open to fighting game newcomers, it will feature a 2-VS-2 tag gameplay. Here's the announcement trailer:

BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle is scheduled for 2018.

#E3News Dragon Ball Fighter Z Trailer

They announced yet another new DBZ fighting game - but this one caught my attention! Because it uses beautifully-rendered cell shaded graphics not unlike the latest Guilty Gear games.

Check out Dragon Ball Fighter Z, a 2D-3D DBZ fighting game for 2018 from Arc Systems (of course!) and Bandai Namco.

This just looks like the anime! I'm kinda interested now!
