#SEGAnews SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS - Announce Trailer

W..what?? What the heck?? An official Sega-licenced product called "SONIC X SHADOW"??

 So the rumors were true...

Sonic Generations is back, the latest re-release following Sonic Colors Ultimate and Sonic Origins Plus. But instead of an Ultimate remaster we're getting an enhanced port and it's called:

 

SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS!

Apparently it's a brand new experience with Shadow including a lot of stages from SA2 and Shadow the Hedeghog and a new story (I never expected to see Black Doom or the Black Arms return...!). The Biolizard boss fight from Generations 3DS. And "alongside" the classic complete Sonic Generations game. 

Kind of like what Nintendo did Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, I'd say. Here's the trailer:

This means this year will really be "The Year of Shadow"! I'm expecting to see IDW do a Shadow one-shot like they did for Tails and Amy.

 

The game's coming in Autumn 2024!

#AnimeNEWS COWBOY BEBOP Trailer (2021)

It's not nice to judge a book by its cover.

But in this case, I can already "feel" the final product. And believe me, I've seen ton of stuff. Just on a live action manga/anime spectrum, we're far off the fun insanity of a Speed Racer or the beautiful take on Rurouni Kenshin. I'm getting some cheap-o US Death Note vibes mixed with some amateurish fanfilm overtone... WAIT AND SEE!

#SEGAnews Sonic Colors Ultimate - Launch Trailer | PS4

 Lots of harsh critics already. But you know what? I'm ready to re-try this enhanced Wii game.

It wasn't one of my favorites, never was. It doesn't make Top 5 in my own list, probably not even Top 10, to be honest. But I liked the funny zany cartoon-vibe from it. And so far from all the remixes I heard, I kinda prefer the new Re-Color OST already over the original songs.

#HorrorNEWS Dead Space – Bande-annonce officielle – EA Play Live 2021

So I guess these rumors are now official. EA is going to remake Dead Space, in a world post-Resident Evil 7/8 and the Resident Evil 2/3 Remakes. As expected. EA is only interested once money is a sure thing.

I truly loved and adored the Dead Space series. But EA already destroyed the original developers, Visceral Games, by forcing them to turn Dead Space into this big scifi epic action game with Dead Space 3. Now they're revamping the original The Thing-inspired body horror that was Dead Space 1?? With a new team?

I'm just saying, wait and see. Be cautious. But they should have brought back the original dev team or allowed their key members to return. Reform Visceral Games. And what's the plan with this remake? To remake all 3 games? Make new Dead Space games after that? Or just a one-off thing while Resident Evil's still pretty hot at the moment?

To summarize: like I said, wait and see. I love the series. But it's still being published by EA. Intrusive DLC did annoy me in Dead Space 3... Let's not even go into their whole shaddy business tactics...

#SegaNEWS THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD: Remake || Nintendo Switch Trailer

We got a new Streets of Rage, an expanded remake of Alex Kidd.. and now the same team that made the Panzer Dragoon remake is bringing an House of the Dead Remake to new consoles!

Love it! It got a bit of HotD3's look. I would have prefered a compilation/collection. But this is nice as well.

Hopefully they go back to Panzer Dragoon, I kinda want to see them complete Zwei and Orta as well. (Not expecting RPG, but who knows at this point..)

Remember Universal's grand plans for a Dark Universe?

Ah. Good times. Good times indeed.

Well, they were pretty far in their production when they scrapped it all, so we still have the 3rd.. or 2nd film is it? (Do we count Dracula Untold? Part of me would say yes, since they reshot and added that whole modern-day epilogue..) Anyways one last non-Dark Universe Dark Universe Universal Monsters reboot arriving on the big screen soon.

It's a tale as old as time, in fact it's The Invisible Man! Here's the twist this time, it's gonna be more grounded. More scienc-y. Modern-day. With an horror take on The Invisible Man, science gone wrong, Invisible guy turns bad, creepy, stalkery and murdery....

...so Hollow Man?

Anyways, here is the trailer:



Looks about what you'd expect from a modern generic Inivisble Man remake.

To cut down losses after the flob of The Mummy Universal had Blumhouse Productions produce this film and do any rewrites/edits as they wanted to cut down costs.

I feel like this whole Dark Universe Universal Monsters reboot super-franchise concept would have had more chance to be decent by being allowed to actually being horror films AND setting them in their original time period of the 1930s-40s instead...

#GamingNEWS FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE Tokyo Game Show 2019 trailer

Alright, they somehow did I it.

I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS GAME, even though it's going to be an incomplete game! I like the FFXV-esque visuals. I dig the updated look and gameplay. Heck, I'll just replay the original from time to time whenever I miss the classic game style.

But it really annoys me this is gonna be an episodic remake and we'll barely start the adventure outside of Midgar when it will be "TO BE CONTINUUED"...



THE GAME LOOKS SO GODDAMN GOOD!! I love the look at how updated cast!!

FFVII Remake comes out on March 3, 2020.

 Finally some new talk about the long-awaited Final Fantasy VII Remake. More of a FFXV take on VII, really. But I CANNOT WAIT FOR IT!!



It's been a long, complicated and tumultuous development. Announced at E3 2015. Taken away from the third-party studio CyberConnect2 in 2017 and moved in-house to the FFXV team... Maybe they got inspired again by the success of Capcom's Resident Evil 2 Remake?

At least the trailer ended with the cryptic "more to come in June"...

The live action Aladdin movie is looking slightly better, although it all feels pretty cheap and worse than the classic animated version:

#NintendoDirect News An unexpected Zelda remake and a Mario spinoff sequel

I'm sure some people were expecting more news from Metroid. Or even a surprise Zelda semi-sequel using the Breath of the Wild engine... but not... this? And this is still good, mind you. Only... what? I didn't expect that for sure!

First up a surprise brand new remake of one of my all-time favorite obscure Zelda games, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening!

Here is the Announcement Trailer, which is an anime-revamp of the original GB game's cutscene:



Wow! The intro looked really, really good. The visuals are... a bit weird to put it simply. But after rewatching it I'm kinda digging the style finally. The overworld seems nice, but Link will take some used to. The music is already PHENOMENAL though! Bring it! After a huge sandbox modern Zelda, a retro-style one is exactly what the Switch needed!

The second surprise was the randomly-announced as well Super Mario Maker 2! The first one was a great surprise, I guess this is part for the course:



Like before, people will mess around the engine to have fun. And some talented folks will actually end up making fantastic stuff with it.

#HorrorNEWS CHILD'S PLAY Official Trailer (2019)

Here's the reboot nobody asked for, even the original creator and his original stars are bashing it before release (because it might compromise his plans for a Chucky TV series continuation..), but don't worry Orion Pictures only got rights to the visuals and the Child's Play name and story.

And by story, I mean the tale of a AI killer robot-doll that will end up using the cloud to control a swarm of robot-Chucky dolls... Doesn't... sound... very Chucky.. at all... Why not simply rename this something else? Oh, yeah, just to use the familiar brand brand to sell some studio execs' nephew's unused script. Sigh...




Aside from Aubrey Plaza (playing a mom now! How time has passed...), nothing is really making me want to see this bore-fest. I feel like I've seen the entire boring film, aside from missing (CGi) jump scares (probably).

This... thing will be released on June 21.

And here's finally the first proper trailer of the upcoming remake of Aladdin... and it looks as weird as I thought it would be.



Actually, scratch that. Will Smight's giant blue smurf is simply not working for me... so... cheap-looking. Like he's head's on a separate plan of existence from the rest of his body.. it just feels and looks completely off... Oh, well. Even Disney can't put out winners all the time.

Aladdin, stars the lovely "new Power Rangers" Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine and Mena Massoud as Aladdin, it will be out May 24.
