#CartoonNEWS Looney Tunes Cartoons announced

It's about time I posted some non-E3 related news as well.

Warner Bros. Animation just announced a new iteration of the classic Looney Tunes characters.

After scrapping my beloved Seinfeld-esque Looney Tunes Show and the pretty boring Wabbits modern cartoon, they announced something closer to what Disney's been doing with the recent awesome Mickey Mouse shorts.

Looney Tunes Cartoons, an upcoming anthologic series of shorts focused on the classic Looney Tunes characters. Not an episodic thing or a random modern Bugs Bunny show. But a return to classic slapstick-driven shorts. With a bunch of different guest artists taking in these classic characters.

It's gonna be different. It's gonna be more experimental.

RR Loonatics Unleashed

There's been various shows based around the Looney Tunes over the years. Spinoff parodies, sitcoms, mystery series, reimaginings, reboots and completely new concepts born from them!

So of course all that was left were either a Muppet babies-version or an action-packed extreme take on the license. We already did the baby version last time, let's  have a look at the EXTREME incarnation finally!

#RIP Joe Alaskey

Aw man, tell me it ain't so...

Fantastic voice actor Joe Alaskey passed away at 63.

He was known for so many great voices, but for me he will always be remembered as the voice of Yosemite Sam in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Plucky Duck from Tiny Toons and Daffy Duck in the great Duck Dodgers cartoon.

Alaskey died yesterday in LA, from cancer.

You will be sorely missed Joe Alaskey...

RIP Joe Alaskey.

#LooneyTunes NEWS! Super Rabbit

Wow! This is awesome!

It looks like we're gonna get some more Looney Tunes soon. And I'm not even talking about the upcoming new show.



The final episode of the Looney Tunes Show will finally air after all this time!

I missed the show! Glad Season 2 will finally be complete that way!

And the art style’s slightly different (the upcoming Wabbit’s design perhaps?)

I missed Bugs & Daffy’s voice! It seems like this will tie with that early Season 1 episode where Bugs mocked Daffy by giving himself Superman’s origin as a joke. And that Faora-like character looks great!
