VGR Splatterhouse (2010)

Finally!
I said I would only review games I played through!
(heck, that's already a lot more thought put into my reviews than, say, Gamespot or IGN right there)

So after many hours put into Splatterhouse, the main game and most of its secrets explored...how is this new Splatterhouse game?
Did it live up the original franchise expectations?
Is it good, is it pretty?
And more importantly, is it any fun? (that's what entertainment's all about at hear, ya know?)

Let's see~

The Terror Mask won't let Rick go in these related Splatterhouse reviews:

Splatterhouse / Part 2 / Part 3
Wanpaku Graffiti
The Splatter Action

What did you do this weekend?!

Long time since I put up a review, right?
Well in the meantime, here's a little recap of this past weekend!
I'd like to read about your side, so don't hesitate to write in the comments below and not just on my deviantArt's page!

What did you do this weekend?!

Long time since I did one of those on the blog, heh?
Anyway, here's another WDYDTW!

Gamin' NEWS! Launch trailers - Conduit & Splatty

Here's some Launch Trailers to start off the week~

VGR The Splatter Action

Since I just got the new Splatterhouse game today (boy that's a heckuva lot Splatterhouse-related posts lately!),  I decided to surprise you guys with this little "unexpected" review.

It may not be part of Namco's Splatterhouse series, but it is in its own rights something worth mentioning for any fans of the serie (that is, me!).

Let's dig in.... The Splatter Action!!

Rick is back!

Alright! Finally! It only took ~20 years since the last game! XD

Eyz Blog - Splatty

Splatterhouse (Xbox360/PS3) is out!
Yay!
Finally! We only had to wait ~20 years for this new Splatterhouse game! TT___TT

I saw it in stores - even here!
But they cancelled the Special Edition?? For both the PAL and NTSC release?? (meaning I can't even import it!!)

But... :(
I wanted a Terror Mask!!

VGR Splatterhouse: Wanpaku Graffiti

In anticipation for the release of the brand new long-awaited Splatterhouse sequel, I propose you guys and gals a review today of one of the lesser known episodes of this slasher horror videogame series!

The new episode, after changing development team 2-3 times already, will finally be launched on November 23, 2010 (if you live in America that is... which I don't - surprise! for those who didn't knew that) and later this month for Europe and Asia, depending which country you live on.

Gamin' NEWS! WARNING! Mature content!

Moar Splatterhouse screens!
Be warned, though, it's gory, it's bloody, it's for ADULTS ONLY!

This was the less violent pic I could find for this post. Also, sort of poetic~

Gamin' NEWS! Retro Splatterhouse Trailer

It's time to put on the mask again....

Gamin' NEWS! Splatterhouse 4!

The new Splatterhouse is coming up soon!

In case you didn't knew, I'm a big fan of the series :P

VGR Splatterhouse Part 3

Sorry for the delay :P
This one took me a little more time.

Here's Part 3, and the end of the original trilogy (but not the "series" yet).
Is it any good?
Did the series need another sequel?
How does the Splatterhouse plot continue?
That and more, in this new review...

What did you do this weekend?!

Hey gals and guys!
It's time for yet another WDYDTW!

It's been a heckuva couple o' weeks lately...that's why you haven't seen much reviews lately...

Blog - on a quiet thursday of nothing

Does seem like I updated the blog a lot these past days..
Guess I had to much things to do on my hands...

With a super-secret-project opening soon next Monday with a bunch of pals (you'll see ;) *wink wink*), me trying to play through Spidey's Shattered Dimensions on Xbox360, finishing Splatterhouse 3 for the next game review, reading my current comics (some Star Wars and Batman stuff mostly), preparing some new comic strips, working on some blog-reviews...

Phew...

Plus work's been quite...let's say...chaotic lately...

Anyway, don't worry.
You'll have your share of "Eyz' blog posts" soon!

In the meantime, here's a drawing I did lately.
A commission someone had me do over @ deviantart:

What did you do this weekend?!

Bringing back an ol' feature of the blog.
What did you do this weekend?

Me?
I've read a lot of stuff...
Mostly some Green Lantern titles (as a matter of fact, I wanted to put up a new GL comics review.. not sure if it will be older GL comics or the Blackest Night event..)

VGR Splatterhouse Part 2

Sorry for the delay :P
This one took me longer than I expected!
It sure was a pain in the a$$ to finish this one, I was kinda stuck in the middle and then in the end of the game...

Anyhow! Here's the 2nd Splatterhouse review!
(don't worry about the review of the "other" Splatterhouse, it will come out later on, at some point)

VGR Splatterhouse

Are you ready for some gory, violent, brutal old school beat 'em all action?!?
Are you ready for the Splatterhouse!?

In case you missed it, I've recently posted the Japanese manga and the American comic page telling Splatterhouse's plot.

ComicPanelsOfTheWeek: Splatterhouse

Since the Splatterhouse series is soon coming to my blog in a 4-part-er review, I decided to present you the game's storyline with this little manga done for the japanese version of the PC Engine port of the game:

Once night, while the renowned Dr. West was experimenting late in his house...

...Rick and his girlfriend Jennifer  decided to take refuge in his West Mansion...

...Once arrived, they were attacked by creatures... Got separated...
Rick woke up in a room alone with a very strange mask attached to his face...
