#TokyoGameShow2017 New Shadow of the Colossus remake trailer

Here’s the only real news straight from this year's Tokyo Game Show that really grabbed my attention - so far: the HD Shadow of the Colossus remake for the PS4 slated for next year:

I still say this looks amazing, even though it kinda lost some of its original artstyle.

#E3 Day 2 - Sony's conference

For most people, it's been a pretty boring if lukewarm-at best E3 show. But me? I'm happy. I got my new Wolfenstein, The Evil Within 2 and Beyond Good & Evil 2! What's more to ask...

Now, Sony's conference on the other hand.. total retreat to 2016's E3. Nothing new, really.

Long rumored, early leaked info, Ubisoft finally officially announced the new Assassin's Creed game - Assassin's Creed Origins!

This new episode will be set in ancient Egypt, coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC on October 27th.

The game was announced as a new evolution of the series, adding new RPG-like elements and more! Check out some gameplay:

I love how it looks! I might go back and catch up on the series finally.

#GamingNEWS Assassin's Creed Origins leaked

While Ubisoft has announced there will be a new Assassin's Creed game released before March 2018, some leaked info has been going around the web thanks to some retailers that have broken street dates concerning an upcoming pre-order card....

Looks like the rumors of an Ancient Egypt AC game was right! This might be the perfect blend of Assassin's Creed gameplay and Prince of Persia-style atmosphere I was looking for. Can't wait for some info! (Maybe at this year's E3?)

#GamingNEWS! Watch Dogs 2: World Premiere Announcement

E3 didn't start yet, but we're getting plenty of news regarding upcoming titles.

Remember Watch_Dogs? Yeah, I know, not a lot of people ended up enjoying that title.. Well Ubisoft Montreal just revealed Watch_Dogs 2! And it will be set in San Francisco this time! Check this out:

It all kinda looks underwhelming... but I guess it's better than over-hyping the game with a phenomenal trailer like last time. It's easier to surprise the audience from there than fall short from expectations.

New game, new protagonist. The free running looks fun and Ubisoft-ysh. And, hey, look! You can actually watch dogs in Watch_Dogs now!

Watch_Dogs 2 will be out on November 15 for PS4 and Xbox 1.

#Fanmade - Assassin's Creed Trailer // Re-edited with Game's Soundtrack

Alright, some fans - at BinarySunProductions - have re-edited the Michael Fassbender's Assassin's Creed film (or as I like to call it, Fassassin's Creed) with the actual game music. And it's a ton better than the cheesy cliché mainstream rap-music one. Check it out:

ALRIGHT! Now we're talking! I'm finally properly hyped for the film now! Why didn't they do that right away? Even for mainstream audiences this sounds a ton better, more appropriate and more epic!!!

#Movie NEWS! Assassin's Creed Trailer World Premiere

Finally, a trailer for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed live action film! And it looks actually pretty decent:

I'm absolutely not sold on the rap music and the robot arm-Animus, but everything else looks fairly AC-ysh.

And it's supposed to be canon with the games! (like the comics!)

#Design - PC Freedom Cry, Final Exam, Hydrophobia & Rocket Knight custom cover art

Please! Do not ask for these! This was a personal job, not outsourcing the work to other people. If you want me to work out something for you, I will do so for money only.

I'm not a big steam-user or just big on digital games because I admit it - I'm totally materialistic. I need some actual boxes to feel a sense of "ownership". That's why I decided to make a few mockup covers for a few digital games I own, at least to motivated myself to finally play through these this year and still proudly have them in my collection next to the rest of my games.

I'm not allowing the comments below to avoid the spam I usually get on these.

#Gaming NEWS! Mirror's Edge Catalyst story trailer

And while we're at it, here's a trailer for the new Mirror's Edge Catalyst. A story trailer, though:

There seems to be a lot of drama in this game this time. I do miss the less realistic approach of the first game's city and characters. It looks a bit more bland this time.

Well, I loved the first game. Bring it on, DICE!

VGR Rayman Origins

My favorite platformer game in ages. Actually probably also one of my favorite games this past decade!

Rayman seemed to have completely fall off the radar, but he had the chance to get a great comeback, with a lot of style to boot!

Michel Ancel's cartoony hero gets reviewed Eyz-style:

#Movie NEWS! 1st pic of Assassin’s Creed: The Movie

No, this is not a picture of Michael Fassbender cosplaying as Ezio from the Assassin’s Creed video game series, but it's actually the first pic and our first look at the upcoming Assassin’s Creed live action film.

Yes, it appears it is now finally officially happening!

The film is set to star Michael Fassbender as "Callum Lynch", an original protagonist as to better fit the game continuity and be part of the overall main canon of the franchise. The story will see Abstergo creating the Animus. - which allows people to relive the genetic history of their ancestors. Fassbender will also probably play the ancestor of Lynch, Aguilar, a 15th-Century Spanish assassin.

The release date is set for December 21, 2016. The film will star Marion Cotillard, Michael Kenneth Williams and Ariane Labed, and it will be directed by Justin Kurzel.

#Gaming NEWS! Mirror’s Edge Catalyst gameplay

YAAAAY!! EA finally released some news regarding Mirror’s Edge Catalyst.

Here's the first 5 minutes from one of the first missions in the game:

Look at it! It looks gorgeous! I'm kinda sad to see the game's looking slightly more realistic now without the red highlighted interactive features. That made the first game so stylish. But the gameplay is here! And it looks fantastic!

Can't wait! Mirror’s Edge Catalyst will be out in February 2016.

#Randomz - Mirror's Edge Catalyst - Real Life Time Trial

What would Mirror’s Edge look in real life? Here's a pretty fun Mirror's Edge-themed parkour video:

This was actually performed by four different runners - two male, two female.

It looked great, but the CGi effects to "enhance" the video were clearly dispensable in my eyes, it was already pretty neat.

#E3 NEWS! The Last Guardian lives

People are still surprised by the Final Fantasy announcement (more on that in my next post), but the fact that it appears that The Last Guardian is finally coming to consoles next year on PS4 is the real event of this year's E3. Granted, there's still time to get canceled...

It took over 6 years, several near-cancellations, huge delays, but it's finally coming to PS4! Well, it was originally meant as a launch title for PS3 (a lot of people even bought a system in hopes to get The Last Guardian on it..). But here it is finally:

Originally announced in 2009 for the PS3, Team Ico's game sure had a long troubled development! Let's hope it plays as well as it looks for now.

Finally.

#E3 NEWS! EA fires back

I can't believe there's already been so many great announcements since this year's E3 started.

And a lot of great new stuff's been already announced since my last post! I'll try to cover my favorite stuff, taking it all slowly in. Let's see what EA came up with this year...

#GamingNEWS! Mirror's Edge 2 Is Now Mirror's Edge: Catalyst

In anticipation to E3, EA has just announced Mirror's Edge 2 will now be titled Mirror's Edge: Catalyst.

I loved the original game AND even the comic.

I CANNOT WAIT for the new game!

Now might be a good time to finally start thinking about getting new system... Hmm...

#Ubisoft NEWS! New Assassin’s Creed game confirmed

Ubisoft finally confirmed the new Assassin’s Creed game. It's won't be titled Victory, as the initial rumors said, but instead will be called Syndicate.

Here's the pretty decent cover art:

The game will be released exclusively for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. This time it will take place in Victorian London, in 1868. And there will be two main characters, both a male and a female protagonists, the brother/sister duo of Jacob and Evie Frye.

Here's the official announcement trailer:

And some gameplay footage:

Looks decent. In fact this seems to have a lot more personality than Unity had.

This time the game won't feature any multiplayer - which is great news for this type of annual game. At least that means more work and effort put into the development of the actual single player experience. And it appears some historic figures like Charles Darwin and Charles Dickens will appear in one form or another in the story.

Seriously, Ubi? More Pre-order/Season pass-shenanigans? You know I'll just ignore all as usual??

You might join the bandwagon and hate on the series all you want, I'm still surprised and glad to see a huge mainstream series play with and introduce history to gamers all over the world. Just for the sake of the "Ezio saga" alone, how many young kids would have never looked into Renaissance and the culture of Italy, not counting all the paintings, rich history and geography they managed to pack into these games? It's a lot more recommendable in my eyes than all those annoying similarly-yearly produced sports game if you ask me.

#FanFilmFriday - Assassin's Creed: AC/BC

Here's a pretty funny silly parody from beatdownboogie:

Look at those graphics, duuuuude!

Man, these CGi trailers always have nothing to do with the actual final gameplay~ #AmIRight??

#AssassinsCreed NEWS! New AC game leaked already!?

Another leak at Ubisoft... or a clever PR stunt?

A new Assassin's Creed's been revealed. It's titled "Assassin's Creed Victory" for now.

Apparently the game's going to take place in the United Kingdom, this time! Nice change of pace! Climbing Big Ben's gonna be awesome! It also seem to take place around the time of Jack the Ripper - why wouldn't it?

Here's some screenshots leaked along the video Kotaku just "found":

It gives a nice look into the new gameplay features. A bit too well, in my eyes. That's why I doubt it's just a "leak". The game is coming next year by the same time, on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

I'm not sure I like the sound of another annual AC game coming out so soon. And being revealed so soon. Didn't they say the franchise would be taking a year-long break? And then we got the official announcement of Rogue and Unity early this year. It's getting way too fast!! And I'm saying that as a huuuuuuuge fan of the franchise...
