The trailer for Venom 3 is here! And it looks as dumb as we all expected.

Did you know Sony will have 3 Spider-man-related films up this year? We got Madam Web, we're getting Venom and then Kraven at the end of the year. While Marvel Films had been trying to slow down their release so the audience doesn't get overwhelmed by all the superhero movies. Meanwhile Sony's doing completely the opposite to destroy the brand, I guess...

We now have a whole darn MADAME WEB spinoff film! I guess this will take the crown off Morbius/Kraven, heh?

Eerrrr... I never liked Madame Web has an ongoing thread in 80s Spider-Man comics nor the 90s cartoon... and now she got a whole ass film to herself? Just give us one Spider-Man Vs. Venom film, come on Sony! You know that will make this whole aggreement with Marvel/Disney worthwile!

I just wish they could keep and accumulate characters in these Spider-less spinoffs. Like by now this Kraven film should also feature Venom and Morbius (and Carnage?). Each new film getting more and more ridiculous with more and more villains/antiheroes, yet still no hero to fight...

#MARVELnews Marvel’s Midnight Suns | “Darkness Falls” Trailer

Wow! This game came out of nowhere, but I like what I'm seeing! I always dig some Marvel Knights/Midnight Suns/Defenders.

Plus the music was dope.

They call this a "tactical RPG", so I'm expecting the return of a Marvel Alliance-type game.

I will just say: this was the perfect opportunity to bring in X-23 or Flash Thompson/Venom.. oh well... At least I'll get my Ghost Rider/Robbie Reyes fix.

(I mean I'm just used to see modern Midnight Suns with Flash!Venom along Robbie!GR.. but we sitll have Eddie Brock!Venom here? Why not use Danny Ketch/GR instead then??? Okay, I'll shut it)

#MARVELnews SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME - Official Trailer

 The more time passes, the more those early leaks are starting to get confirmed.

Here's the brand new trailer for SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME, which I just discovered this morning before going to work...

It looks... weird.. chaotic... crossover-y... like an underwhelming comic book event/take on Into the Spider-Verse.. I'm both hyped and tired by looking at it all. I dig the returning villains, but less so the crossover-plot. I like the culmination of the Sinister Six, but not these past-movies "echos". Jamie Foxx gets a better Elektro redesign, but the Green Goblin didn't bring the scrapped goblin look from Sam Raimi's concepts... I dunno.. It's both too much and not enough, if you get it?

The tipping point might be... I feel like this is either avoiding Venom or not showing him yet. And will it be the Sam Raimi Venom or the new Tom Hardy one? Or both???

Anyways, I will probably end up catching this at some point, but the film's coming up on theaters December 17.

I admit, I forgot this film was coming... And I will probably forget it again until I find it on a bargain bin in a few months...

This comes next January.

 First look at Marvel's Spider-Man 2!! Can't wait, looks like Insomniac knocked it out of the park already!

I can identify three villains allusions: Venom (obv), Kraven (our narrator?) and Elektro (the sparks?). Whad do you say?!

I like the dynamic gameplay between Pete and Miles. Reminds me of Batman and Nightwing/Robin fight sequences in the Arkham games.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is the next game in PlayStation’s critically acclaimed Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise. Developed by Insomniac Games in collaboration with Marvel Games and PlayStation for the PS5 console.

 

Sounds like a PS5 exclusive! Time to upgrade, dudes...

This one is looking pretty good, tho. A strange mix of a live action Spider-Verse with a bit of Dr Strange 2 in the mix. I would have prefered a simpler more grounded Spider-Man film.. but then again, there's the Raimi films for that. So let this one be a bit more crazy over-the-top comic book-y:

Goddammit.. I'm hyped for this. 

I'm hyped for this because I really enjoyed the Venom film. 

Oh, never mind that, it was really bad, bad plot, bad characters, bad dialogues, bad VFX... but I somehow enjoyed it. Maybe because it reminded me of a big budget B-grade movie. I mean on an almost Roger Corman level, lots of recycled footage (the chase scenes kept running over the same street over and over and over and over again..). And because I've been re-reading a lot of Venom/Carnage material from the 1990s lately..

Anyways, who's hyped for Venom Vs. Carnage in a live action film? This guy!

 

In theaters September 24.

 Do you think we'll get Spider-man 3 long before Black Widow? Disney's realling pushing aside BW, wanting to see things go back to normal, but behind Spidey 3 there's also Sony pushing back to see the film keep its release date and be released. Be it on theater or streaming platforms... We'll see..

Anyways, the film's finally go a title thanks to this little funny reveal trailer:

That's not only or does that final effect on the logo perfectly references and alludes to a Spider-Verse situation...?

#GamingNEWS Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales - Announcement Trailer | PS5

Alright, I think this one's a great fun announcement.

There's been a lot of confusions regarding this game since the original announcement, thanks to Sony's twitter PR screwing things up.

It probably came from an idea to remaster the PS4 Spider-Man game. It's a standalone spinoff, not quite Spider-Man 2. It's Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales for PS5!



They compared it to Uncharted Lost Legacy in terms of spinoff/sequel status/standalone smaller side project. Sounds great.

I can't wait to web-sling across NY once more, this time with Miles! Bring it on!

#Randomz A bunch of vintage classic movie trailers

Remember back when trailers didn't show the entire plot of the films? The latest Terminator film is doing Genisys' problems all over again. The film looked much of the same anyways, despite Cameron behind the production and promoting it.

Here's some fun vintage classic movie trailers I dig.

Die Hard 2 had a fun story behind it actually. They hadn't began shooting anything really, and the script was going through some edits. So really this first teaser trailer was made with the only raw footage they had done at that point:



But it actually works great to tell us the tone and tease Die Hard 2 here.

Similarly the original Terminator 2: Judgment Day got such a great fun and iconic trailer. All original footage. Such an atmosphere established in a single minute:



Sam Raimi's Spider-Man got a fantastic Twin Tower teaser, which then was cut from the film and censored due to the events at the time. And it only now resurfaced, remastered for higher-def:



One last! And despite personally not really liking the film, I always loved the first teaser trailer to Ang Lee's Hulk (2003):

This is looking really good. With even more shades of Ultimate Spider-man, what with alternate world-Mysterio and Nick Fury's role. I am really looking forward to it!!!!

I think I really enjoy this unique Peter/Aunt May dynamic. Really different compared to other interpretations of Spider-man. And I see they're finally calling Michelle MJ this time! Also NICK FURY!! And I dig the Noir-esque SHIELD uniform.

I really love this new Into the Spider-Verse trailer, giving some focus to the other Spider-folk. Noir looks badass, in a "Big Daddy" kind of way. Peni Parker is the cutest anime badass with a robot. And Spider-Ham is still my favorite.

#RIP Stan Lee

The Man, the Legend... Stan THE MAN Lee has passed away...

He's a legend of the industry. He's responsible (along Jack Kirby, Steven Ditko and others..) for creating some of the most recognizable cult classic comic book characters such as the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, Spider-Man and countless others...

Stan was fighting pneumonia for a while now, he died at age 95.

We will all miss his legendary cameos that cemented his image to the mainstream audience.

A lot of warm words from people he interacted with.

A lot of us growing up reading comics felt particularly close to his unique voice. And we will all miss The Man...
