 The Sonic Movie 3 trailer is finally here!

*insert obligatory Sonic music - Green Hill and Live and Learn this time - as orchestral variants that WONT BE in the movie* Dammit, I wish Live and Learn would stay, but if it's anything like the previous films.... Remember Emerald Hill's music in the film? Me neither.

ANYWAYS

Sonic Movie 3 just dropped! Shadow looks great and epic, and like with Sonic Movie 2's Japanese title (Sonic Vs. Knuckles), Sonic Movie 3 got a pretty darn epic title in Japan again, "Sonic Vs. Shadow: Tokyo Mission! Let's go!!!!

Wow! The bits we get of Shadow's past with Maria seems pretty true to the source material. The rest seems like a truncated simplified Sonic Adventure 2 with odd choices, like Movie 2 was a weird simplified mashup of Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 (a Master Emerald but no Chaos Emeralds, the Death Egg Robo but no Death Egg..). We do seem to have a weird glimpse at the ARK there at the end.

Keanu Reeves fits Shadow like Idris Elba fits Knuckles. It's different, but fitting. Keanu's been voicing stuff since the 80s..

I still wish they did Chaos or Metal Sonic before Shadow, I can't imagine them afterwards. (Maybe a tweaked Sonic CD Metal Sonic+Heroes following the Eggman asked for a quill from Sonic-part in the trailer?)

No idea what they're doing with Gerald Robotnik, we lack context here. Real deal? Hologram/AI thing? Halucinations like Pachacamac? Eggman-Carrey does seem to hint that it isn't right (Are you really here??) 

Wait and see!

Oh, and Shadow finally did the Akira bike slide, been wishing for it since the Shadow spinoff and Sonic 06's cutscenes back then...!

#MovieNEWS THE MATRIX 4 RESURRECTIONS Trailer 2 (New, 2021)

 No matter how it turns out, it looks like The Matrix 4 might be an interesting addition to the trilogy. I love how they can surimpose scenes from the past Matrix trilogy like that.

People are talking about a Matrix withing a Matrix. What if the previous films were actually a simulation inside the matrix...? There's new shots of Neo waking up "in the real world". We'll see...

This week marked the big E3 2019 even, in LA. You know what? I've been mostly offline this past week. So I finally decided to catch it all in one sitting. And boy, there's been quite a few great new announcements, tidbits, trailers and some occasional goofy and cringe moments in what was yet another packed E3 experience.

Here's the official Bill & Ted 3 announcement. I like how these guy's been wanting to make this film for so many years. I'm sure Keanu Reeves at least could have cashed in all his Matrix money and never bother to make any new movies.



Honestly, I feel like this might turn into something surprisingly really, really good. In a Cobra Kai-sort of way, if you get what I mean.

It somehow hard to buy Keanu Reeves defenseless. He played too many self-reliant badass heroes. The film sounds like Funny Games, with girls. But it's actually a remake of the 1977 Peter Traynor's film Death Game.

 

Girls, you can do everything to him, but don't touch his dog!

Summarizing this film, it's like describing the best revenge grindhouse movie ever. Ex-hitman is beaten up. They kill his dog and steal his car. And now... he's gonna make 'em all pay!



Even his name/the title is awesome! Seriously, if that doesn't make you think of some kind of awesome Max Payne/Johnny Mnemonic mash-up I can't imagine anyone honestly not liking the sound of that~
