Not only is this Sonic Dream Team a (timed?) exclusive to Apple Arcade, and a return to 3D platform for Sonic, and it has several playable characters.. but the game also has another lovely animated opening + kickass music from Tee Lopes?
Come on Sega, last time you did exclusives it was the awful Sonic Boom game or that generic Sonic Lost World (which this seems a tiny bit inspired by).
Wow! Rouge! And Cream with a key role in the store? And I don't trust the new sheep girl...
Is this the best opening theme I've seen in ages or what?!
I love a weird crazy memorable intro for a show. And James Gunn did just that with John Cena & co for HBO's Peacemaker:
Here is the fantastic opening to the 2008 reboot of Yatterman! I just dig the really funky retro opening theme. Enjoy!
This is actually fanmade done, but it is so well done!!!
Look at this amazing tribute through Sonic's history, made by the talented VicenticoTD! So good the official Sonic Channel had to mention and leave feedback on! It's on a whole other professionnal level!
I would love if a proper anniversary title or something got this animation at the start!
Enjoy!
Fellow persons of culture, here's the pretty good openings to the very wholesome series Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai! and Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro:
Enjoy!~
(Hopefully My Sempai is Annoying joins them soon....)
The new DC CW show is here. And while I doubt I'm going to go back to all that, you gotta appreciate all the little nods and references put into the first scene of the new show Superman & Lois!
Lots of great references, making this series reference basically all of Superman's history.
The Golden Age costume, the first cover of Action Comics, Man of Steel, the Christopher Reeve Superman films. Heck even a little line "Thanks, my mom made it for me." from one of my favorite, Superman for All Seasons, by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale!
#HappyHalloween 2020!
Speaking of #musicbox, here's some actual music box music!
It's the wonderful theme of Kitaro on a music box!
And it sounds lovely! Appropriately spooky and creepy too. I love it!!
Here's some more Kitaro!
I truly adore this cover!!! Lovely voices! Insanely good music! They even sorta look like a buncha yokais having fun!
Easily my all-time favorite fan recreation of this classic opening theme.
Just in time for Halloween season...
It's almost Halloween! Let's hear some great tunes from the classic long-running manga/anime series Gegege no Kitaro!
Kitaro's always had some great memorable opening that unlike most reboot shows/movies in the US, always kept its original melody intact throughought its various incarnations. It's an iconic Japanese opening theme. I love listening to its various takes over the decades. My fav is probably the original 1960s one and the 1990s movies version.
I really truly adored the live action films, it's nice to see a live take on Kitaro. The cast was great too. And the opening theme was perfectly used in the intro!
Wow! Check it out!
And to end on a different note, I love how ending themes are either creepy... or fun yokai dance! This is one of my favorite ending musics, from the 1990s Kitaro:
Look at them shake it off! Haha! Adorably spooky!
The ThunderCats opening remains one of the bests around. And here's a CGi fan recreation of the classic opening title:
Sure, they look a bit creepy, but this OP always gets me pumped for some action!

Presenting the Opening Animation for Shantae 5, created by none other than the revered Studio TRIGGER! TRIGGER producer Naoko Tsutsumi (Little Witch Academia) collaborated with Shantae creator Erin Bozon (Futurama) and Matt Bozon (series director) to bring the Shantae characters to life. Vocals for the opening were performed by Cristina Vee (Miraculous Ladybug), featuring an original composition by Mark Sparling and musical arrangement by Maddie Lim.
