Did you know that there's a new Mad Max film coming up? Alright, so it's a Furiosa prequel spinoff. But it still remains a Mad Max film.
I kinda wonder, even if that's what George Miller really wanted to make, why not slightly rework it into another Max story, and instead of a younger Furiosa just a new similar character. Keep moving forward. Keep Max in there to avoid making spinoffs. You know, the way each installment is basically a standalone tale. (Only nerdy US films are bothered by the continuity and timeline details...)
We have a first look at the upcoming new Terminator film (Terminator 6??) which will be actually overseen and produced by James Cameron and directed by Deadpool 1 director Tim Miller!
Sounds good so far? Yeah, I'm still not feeling it either...

At least we will get Scharzennegger and Linda Hamilton back! Yay...?
The film's expected for November 15, 2019 next year.
And while nobody expected it, J.J.Abrams and his Bad Robot production just randomly released the next third Cloverfield movie on Netflix!!!

The film had been teased for a while, not to such an extend as the past two films. But they still stealthy launched the "augmented reality game" on social media and whatnot. I've only seen a couple videos on it on youtube.
And then a Superbowl teaser announced its released right away on Netflix the next day - today.
What!!!!
So we now know the long-awaited Paramount scifi film God Particle about people trapped in space during an alien invasion ended up now called The Cloverfield Paradox!
Major Hollywood studios are pretty hesitant to put smaller budget flicks on the big screen, nowadays. Specialyl in the middle of all these big loud superhero popcorn flicks. And since Paramount and Netflx worked out such a great similar deal with the Natalie Portman scifi film Annihilation recently, they decided to do the same. This is a $40 million-budget "little scifi film". And from the looks of it they already made it immetiatley profitable since they randomly unveiled it on Netflix earlier!!
Word of mouth works great with these mysterybox-type Abrams films.
Actually, I can't wait to check this out, personally.

This one was directed by Julius Onah. And it stars the always great Elizabeth Debicki, Daniel Bruhl, Gugu Mbatha Raw, Chris O’Dowd, Ziyi Zhang and David Oyelowo.
It's funny to thing 10 CLOVERFIELD LANE was announced 2 months before its release date.
THE CLOVERFIELD PARADOX was revealed just 4 hours before its release.
Since they already said CLOVERFIELD 4 has finishing its production, we might expect an even stealthier and faster release for it??
I can't wait to see people dissect this film apart. What if the biggest twist and mystery box was that these films have all been in the Lost universe and part of the Dharma conspiracy??

I had so much hope and hype for this one... My favorite manga series about robots (sorry, Ghost in the Shell..)... Robert Rodriguez directing it.. A relatively decent cast...
But instead we got "this"!?!! To "mimic" the manga artstyle???

I can't... I need time to process this result...
We don't even get any cyber/punk feel from this production!!!

While we're still pretty far off Pacific Rim 2's release date (don't expact a trailer anytime soon), Legendary just released a first theatrical poster for the upcoming long-in-the-making sequel:
The film is titled Pacific Rim: Uprising! And it is expected for Feb 23, 2018.
These new updated Jaegers look neat so far! I can't wait for more!

So far, both previous Wolverine spinoff films started good and then had really terrible final acts.. Hopefully this one turns out better. Also, I'm not sure I'm a fan of the direction they're going with X-23 here, she looks so tiny and defenseless... sigh..
First let me say, I'm a huge fan of Shingeki no Kyojin (aka Attack on Titan - or as I like to more accurately call it "Attack of the Titans", probably because the American title doesn't make much sense in my eyes). A really popular modern gory manga about giant humanoid monsters eating humans, forcing mankind to live behind giant walls. As a fan of the original manga, which I keep up to this day, I admit I have never watched the anime outside checking out the opening credits and a couple of scenes, so you know where I came from. But I did read some of the spinoff manga series! As soon as this live action film was announced we knew there would be plenty of changes from the original manga/anime, so let's review these films as standalone products that can stand on their own. Let's review these films strictly from the perspective of a movie, trying to stay objective for the most part.
It took me quite a long while to finally play through this one, and finally review it here.
The Last of Us is a cult game people have already wrote and talked about countless times, but I personally only discovered it through the PS4 re-release since I skipped it last gen. And then I finally got it, and loved playing it.. but with a broken TV these last few months I was stuck with no means to finally finish it...
