#HorrorNEWS Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City Trailer - Nightmare (2021) | Movieclips Trailers

The upcoming Resident Evil film reboot is looking pretty nice, so far. It actually seems to stick closer to the games this time (a mashup of the storylines of RE1 and RE2 it seems). But, I dunno, it's coming from the exact same production studios as the previous Paul Anderson films, so... wait and see!

The movie's coming on November 24.

#HorrorNEWS TRAIN TO BUSAN PRESENTS: PENINSULA (2020) Official Trailer | Zombie Action Movie

Here's the trailer for the new weird spinoff/kinda-sequel to Train to Busan,TRAIN TO BUSAN PRESENTS: PENINSULA!

I was expecting another zombie film from the same people that made the first film, instead this feels like one of those George Romero's remakes... I'm not feeling the same atmosphere and tone as the first film. Wait and see...

#GamingNEWS RESIDENT EVIL 3 REMAKE Trailer (2020) HD

It's official! "Resident Evil Project Resistance" is officially the remake of Resident Evil 3!

The game looks nice so far. Curiously, there's a lot of 1st person segments in this first cinematic trailer.. which makes me think they might end up with a blend of RE2make's third person update with RE7's new FPS view.

Not sure I dig the updated Jill Valentine so far. But then again I'll take this update over her blonde RE5 look.. Ugh.. That was when the series jumped the shark. Let's see it swim back ashore and continue the streak of good new titles so far.

I can't wait to be stalked by Nemesis in a brand new engine on high fidelity photographic graphics!

#TVnews The Walking Dead: World Beyond - Official Teaser | Prime Video

More Walking Dead if coming. Which sounds pretty strange to me, I sort of made peace with this universe once the comic ended. And I ditched the live action series so many seasons ago...

But here we are. A new Walking Dead spinoff, brilliantly titled The Walking Dead: World Beyond. Here's the trailer:

They're introducting a whole new cast. Same world, same story. I'm not sure I'll check this one. Maybe just the pilot episode.

It's coming spring of 2020 on Amazon Prime (!).

#MovieNEWS YUMMY - Officiële trailer

I like checking zombie movies from all over the world. No matter what country, what language, what culture, seeing a different take from another perspective of such an easy concept is always a fun treat.

Here's Yummy:

A Belgian horror-comedy. Zombies running amok in a plastic surgery ward, sounds Yummy!

#HorrorNEWS ZOMBIELAND: DOUBLE TAP - Red Band Trailer

Remember ZOMBIELAND? Well, these new trailers are certainly trying to remind us the sequel's finally coming.

This new Red Band trailer is better than the first one. But I dunno... I'm not sold on the sequel so far, it feels like it's trying to much to be as fun as the original, and too much self-awareness/"wink wink" at the camera, I feel:

#HorrorNEWS The Walking Dead Universe (2020) - Official New Series Announcement Teaser

This is apparently my #7'777 blog post! Hurray!

Here is the first teaser trailer for the not-really-necessary new untitled Walking Dead spinoff! Which was basically just shows its cast of very young actors and some concepts. And nothing much really:

Did we really need another WD spinoff? I don't know. Then again, I'm just reading the last few volumes of the comics to finish it all, I kinda ditched the shows a few years back.

This Walking Dead universe spinoff will be coming to AMC in spring, next year.

#HorrorNEWS ZOMBIELAND: DOUBLE TAP - Official Trailer (HD)

Nobody actually ever expected to see the ZOMBIELAND sequel actually get made. They'd been talking about it for years since the original's release. And yet, here it is. Finally.

The only true thing that change is that in the many years since then, most of these actors have gone up in popularity, how could they still afford the return of this makeshift family? Emma Stone even won an Academy Award since then! They actually poke fun at that in the trailer.

Do you even remember the plot of the original? And honestly it was one of my favorite horror comedies in ages...

Anyways, here goes:

Seems more like more of the same. Just in time for the original's 10th year anniversary (ALREADY???)

The sequel's titled ZOMBIELAND: DOUBLE TAP and it is expect to hit theaters on October 18.

#HorrorNEWS THE DEAD DON'T DIE - Official Trailer [HD] - In Theaters June 14

This is no April's Fool, indie auteur Jim Jarmusch has made a zombie film starring Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Steve Buscemi, Chloë Sevigny, Danny Glover, Tilda Swinton, Iggy Pop, Selena Gomez and many more! And it looks pretty good.

The film seems pretty fun so far. Check it out:

A "Scottish Christmas zombie musical film"!

My kind of stupid film, I'm in!

#RIP George A. Romero

I start Monday as usual, checking out some news online.. only to discover Night of the Living Dead director George Romero just died at 77.

RIP George A. Romero.

While he's mostly known for basically having created our modern interpretation of the zombie as well as the zombie film genre, he's made a lot of great stuff over the years. Chief amongst those are his Crazies and Creepshow films.
He will always be remembered for his classics Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead and Day of the Dead. Land of the Dead was pretty good too, in a B-movie sort of way.

And his more recent "Of the Dead" films hadn't been particularly good. Diary of the Dead and Survival of the Day. Although he was just launching the production of a new one that might have been better, Road of the Dead.

Let's not count all the various projects he did throughout multimedia including a great recent Marvel Comics, Empire of the Dead (which featured vampires!).
Romero died in his sleep on Sunday with his wife and daughter at his side, after a "brief but aggressive battle" with lung cancer, Chris Roe said.*

Time to marathon his original films, in memory of the great creator and filmmaker he was.

#E3 Day 2 - Sony's conference

For most people, it's been a pretty boring if lukewarm-at best E3 show. But me? I'm happy. I got my new Wolfenstein, The Evil Within 2 and Beyond Good & Evil 2! What's more to ask...

Now, Sony's conference on the other hand.. total retreat to 2016's E3. Nothing new, really.

MR Attack on Titan (movie) Part 1 and 2

First let me say, I'm a huge fan of Shingeki no Kyojin (aka Attack on Titan - or as I like to more accurately call it "Attack of the Titans", probably because the American title doesn't make much sense in my eyes). A really popular modern gory manga about giant humanoid monsters eating humans, forcing mankind to live behind giant walls.

As a fan of the original manga, which I keep up to this day, I admit I have never watched the anime outside checking out the opening credits and a couple of scenes, so you know where I came from. But I did read some of the spinoff manga series!

As soon as this live action film was announced we knew there would be plenty of changes from the original manga/anime, so let's review these films as standalone products that can stand on their own. Let's review these films strictly from the perspective of a movie, trying to stay objective for the most part.

VGR The Last of Us

It took me quite a long while to finally play through this one, and finally review it here.

The Last of Us is a cult game people have already wrote and talked about countless times, but I personally only discovered it through the PS4 re-release since I skipped it last gen. And then I finally got it, and loved playing it.. but with a broken TV these last few months I was stuck with no means to finally finish it...

Anyways - I finally played through this gem, here's the review!
