#GamingNEWS Return to Monkey Island - Release Date Trailer - Nintendo Switch

Gimme this new Monkey Island ASAP!!! RIGHT NOW!!!

Is this game still a soft reboot/direct-sequel to MI2? Guybrush seems to retain his Tales of Monkey Island design here, making it a proper MI5 sequel..? Wait and sea (ha!),

EDIT: Update - Alright, stop everything! I see references to Curse, Escape and Tales in the gameplay trailer! So everything's canon? It's really Monkey Island 6 and not a direct sequel to MI2 finally???

#Design - CustomCoverArt PC Loom, Day of the Tentacle, Indy Infernal Machine & Emperor's Tomb v2

Please! Do not ask for these! This was a personal job, not outsourcing the work to other people. If you want me to work out something for you, I will do so for money only.

I decided recently to revamp some of my older covers (I had done for my bro) for my own updated gaming collection lately. Specifically, I redid some of my old LucasArts classics. I think I'm much better at this now. I also had access to better higher res art for the cover layouts.

As usual, comments disabled here to avoid the spam I get on these.

#GamingNEWS Return to Monkey Island - Official Announcement Trailer

I hadn't posted the "Monkey Island 6" trailer over here YET, but I gotta I'm hyped!

Devolver Digital makes great games. Ron Rilbert is back to helm the series. It's another classic 2D point and click again, which is a nice return to form even though I love Escape and Tales. And it's appartently already coming this year!!

Even though the game is a mystery, we also know Michael Land is back on music duty and Dominic Armato as well as Guybrush.

#Blog #MonkeyIsland Anthology Collection from Limited Run

So I recently received this beautiful collector Anthology Collection from Limited Run. The Monkey Island Anthology!

I remember pre-ordering this a whole full year ago.. but it was worth the wait. (Except for a little weird  error, more on that below..)

Yeah, so I already had the entire Monkey Island series on PC.. but now I got it twice!

Anyways, the collector is also a huge excuse to get all these little awesome goodies, long time fans will recognize all these references.

Numbered LRG edition, signed by Ron Gilbert!

This book is awesome, full of behind the scenes stuff and details!

They made the funny missing floppy for real?? Plus the content's also on the USB key.
I wasn't expecting much from this Guybrush figure, but he looks fantastic!
Best frame ever.

My only complaint? A weird error in the listing of the games on the side... I mean, didn't anyone check this before it went to print??

And now, here's my entire Monkey Island collection:

Enjoy!

#AdventureNEWS Leisure Suit Larry - Wet Dreams Don't Dry Teaser Trailer

There's randomly, suddenly a new Leisure Suit Larry game out! And from a different (German) crew than the previous excellent "Reloaded" remake...!? And I wasn't even aware of it!!

So apparently a German dev team got the rights to the LSL series and made the long-awaited LSL8!

Here's the random teaser trailer:

Some art + the new updated main theme:

And some gameplay:

I'm not a big fan of the flash look/clean animation style. It's too... "digital", for lack of a better word. But I like the sound and the voice cast sees the return of the original Larry Laffer actor once more! And he made entirely the Reloaded remake on his own.

The game was apparently made on a very tiny budget, to launch along the entire series back on Steam and GOG. That's where you'll find this new episode as well, by the way.

#Gaming NEWS! Back to the Future: The Game remaster

YES!! This is the Back to the Future: The Game I wanted to play the first time around.

If you read my review, you will know that the only thing I actually really didn't like about the game was the fact they didn't bother getting Tom Wilson back for Biff.

Well, Telltale Games is re-releasing the game of the 30th Anniversary of the franchise. AND they finally got Tim Wilson back to voice the Tannens in the game! Yes, new audio! Plus new higher-resolution, new added content here and there and a whole behind the scenes look at the game and film trilogy along some interviews.

I'm honestly not a big fan of these type of remasters, but for once I'm kinda seriously thinking about it. Might be because I'm a huge BTTF nerd :P

This will be released both digitally and in retail on Oct. 16.

"There's never going to be a Back to the Future Part IV," says Bob Gale. "We're not doing that. But, Telltale's Back to the Future game is pretty close to what a Part IV could be."

VGR Back to the Future: The Game

Back to the Future is already 30 years old. Can you believe it?

BTTF's future did predict a lot of wild stuff. If there's one thing the series foretold is how much 2015 would rely on 80s nostalgia, use the 3D gimmick and produce countless sequels. (Seriously though, this year did saw the release of a new Jurassic Park, the return of Mad Max and soon more Star Wars!!)

Great Scott!! It's 2015! Let's party like it's 1985, with a 2015-special review of a game based on a 1985 movie! Are you still following me here? This is about to get heavy...

Gotta get back in time? Check these previous reviews below!

#Gaming NEWS! Armikrog release date

Remember Armikrog?

A Kickstarter-crowdfunded point-and-click adventure game from Doug TenNapel, basically a spiritual successor to the cult classic The Neverhood.

The game has now a date! The game will debut on August 18.

Here's a new video:

Looking great!

The game will feature voice actor Rob Paulsen as Beak-Beak, the sidekick of the main character Tommynaut (Mike Nelson).

It's expected to be released for PC, Mac and Linux (with a later release on PS4 and Wii U as well).

#Gaming NEWS! Marvel teams up with TelltaleGames

Apparently Marvel will team-up with Telltale to develop an adventure game.

While I imagine most Marvel proprieties (being superhero comics) would result in more of an action game, I can only come up with one possibility I hope it turns out real. Obviously you know what it means?

Please be a game based on Ryan North's Unbeatable Squirrel Girl series!!! It basically writes itself!

#Kickstarter NEWS! Thimbleweed Park

Hooray!

The Twin Peaks-esque spiritual successor to the all-time classic LucasArts original adventure game, Maniac Mansion! - has reached its target goal!

Thimbleweed Park is an upcoming kickstarter-funded retro point & click, in the pure tradition of ol' adventure games, and developed by the man behind it all, Ron Gilbert (Maniac Mansion, Monkey Island, etc.).

Here's the original trailer:

And a link to the kickstarter.

It's looking great so far! Can't wait to hear more from it!

#DeletedScene - Alien vs Predator: Nightmare on Ryushi - AVP game no one ever played

This one's actually a pretty recent find, courtesy from avpgalaxy.net.

Not only has there been FPS and beat 'em all Alien vs. Predator games, apparently at some point there was going to be an adventure game as well!

Titled Alien vs Predator: Nightmare on Ryushi!

The game was supposedly in development for MS-Dos but was mysteriously canceled at some point. It was going to be a first for the series, a point & click adventure game by Activision!

The game would have also been a first for the Alien and Predator franchises, being the first game to had then offered 3 separate playable campaigns/stories!

This might have been surprisingly refreshing and different for the series. Too bad it was canceled...

#Gaming NEWS! The Walking Dead - Season 2!

And here's a trailer to Telltale Games' awesome Walking Dead video game series!

I love seeing adventure games relevant again and back on the front scene! TT Games did a lot for the genre these last few years.

This is looking pretty nice.

VGR Leisure Suit Larry 1

Since I just recently finished playing through the Kickstarter-financed Reload remake recently, here's a review of the original!

A "graphic" adventure game that took its title a bit too literally.

Don't worry, it's all played for laughs, it's just a parody!

Don't miss out my previous Adventure games-related reviews!

#Gaming NEWS! Jack Keane 2 trailer

I forgot to post this the other day....

Jack Keane is back in an all-new adventure, Jack Keane 2 and the Fire Within!
Check out this awesome epic trailer!

I'm just fearing the changed control scheme, but loving the visuals, the art style and the promised new storyline.
And this time you will be able to influence/change the story with some decisions (Walking Dead anyone?)  Which is a nice plus to make an interactive experience all more interactive!

Also, still love this catchy theme~

#Gaming NEWS! Pendulo Studios' Day One

Speaking of Kickstarter the other, Spanish developer Pendulo Studios is also needing some funding for the new title Day One.

But unlike many of these new fan-funded adventure games/indie games, they went on gamesplanet.
Check out their page right here on gamesplanet.

#Gaming NEWS! BROKEN SWORD 5 - wooh-hooooo!

The guys at Revolution Software have finally announced a new Broken Sword game! Finally! Yay!

Broken Sword: The Serpent's Curse for PC, Apple and Linux only!
Look at this pic! It looks gorgeous!
It will be a return to 2D like the first two episodes. (I guessed they scrapped the 2D remakes of the later games then...?)
With all the old crew back behind the production and all.

But they need your help...
