#PAX News! This indie game sure is looking lovely!
Here's a fun indie title that was showed at this year's PAX.
It's called Firewatch, it's being developed by the crew at Campo Santo. And it seems to feature an interesting original gameplay mechanic based on trust and interaction:
It's like a "survival" game!

#PAX NEWS! Capcom might not have totally forgotten what Resident Evil is about
Capcom just officially confirmed it.
So apparently they won't release another main series-numbered Resident Evil after the "fiasco" that was RE6. Instead they're smartly pursuing the better received RE title of these last few years with Resident Evil: Revelations 2. Check it out:
No system confirmed for now, but I'd be surprised if this wasn't out on PS3/360 or PS4/Xbox One.
Although, no Wii U/3DS? I fear so... That's where original came on, where the RE series was allowed back to its roots after incessant TPS shooters these last few years of the main games..
And Capcom should know again how to make a proper Resident Evil. Heck, they're even re-re-releasing the original Resident Evil! An HD update of the GameCube remake ('you still following?) is about to to arrive to PC/PS3/Xbox 360:
And while this is just an HD upscalling, with a few next textures (and a new "more professional" voice acting!?), this means they had to go back to the original game. Hopefully they caught back some of what made the original few games fun, suspenseful and actual survival horror games.

#PAX News! Atari has some new games I might be interested in
Atari will be resurrecting some of the ol' franchises they obtained over the years.
First of all, one of my childhood favorites is making a comeback! Early next year exclusively on PC there's gonna be a "RollerCoaster Tycoon: World"!
I miss this series. I kinda only played THOUSANDS of hours of the first one and its original expansion (as well as a little of the second one). Glad to see it still exists.
Hopefully they'll avoid silly DLCs/micro-transaction traps that the last Sim City proved to be a bad idea.
Finally, there's some news regarding the new Alone in the Dark!
It's called a Alone in the Dark: Illumination, its PC exclusive as well. And here's the teaser trailer:
Hopefully more will be revealed soon.
But from the looks of it, this might be played in First Person (that wasn't just for the trailer I guess)... Mmmh.. Not sure I like the sound of that.
At best it will be an innovative experience in the style of the Amnesia series. At worst, it's just a cheap cash in on the "Playable Trailer" of the upcoming Silent Hills game.
And finally, another old Infogrames IP they decided to resurect, here's the trailer for Haunted House: Cryptic Graves:
This one shows a lot more of the design, the environments and the atmosphere.
Haunted House will be an adventure/puzzle/mystery.
For those who don't know, Haunted House was an old classic Atari game, which partially went on inspiring survival horrors a decade later:
The game was remade in a cartoony semi-sequel for the Wii, later re-released on Xbox Live:
Not to be confused with the unrelated PS2/Gamecub/Xbox game developed by High Voltage Software:
From the looks of the appropriate scenery, it sounds like Haunted House turned into Alone in the Dark, and Alone in the Dark turned a Condemned-sort of horror FPS.
Wait and see~

And so it starts...
Here's a new trailer for the Wii U game Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal, which shows an old familiar face... albeit, err, "Boom-ified":
