So this happened.
Spike TV is turning Stephen King’s The Mist into a serialized TV drama.
What?? The 2007 film adaptation is relatively recent enough and expanded brilliantly enough the novel Stephen King himself wished he had wrote that ending!
I'm not sure how this is going to work as a TV show, but here's a creepy trailer for the upcoming series:
They only show us The Mist and human drama? Why do I fear there won't actually be any monsters in the show...? I want some Half-Life-like creatures and alien invasion!!
The show will debut on June 22 on Spike TV.

It's a pretty fun ad for Necronesia aka Escape from Bug Island!, that ran in Japan.
