Did Tim Burton finally make a new film I actually do wanna see???

It looks and feels like Beetlejuice!

I'm so glad to see Winona Ryder back in her iconic role!

I welcome Jenna Ortega as the new "it" cool goth girl! *we're not worthy!*

And Michael Keaton seems like he didn't skip a beat, despite how many decades passed.

I also did how the title is simply BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE. Now they better end up making a third one to complete the trilogy/summoning!

 Alright. This long-rumored Tim Burton-produced project sorta came out of nowhere... but.. I dunno, I kinda dig the casting (like the recent animated film's casting). I just wish it was a feature film instead of stretching a non-existant plot into a non-episodic show. I can already smell the slow and boring filler episodes from here. That's what you get from the current race for content in our digital streaming platforms-age.

Also, props to the new Wednesday actress, she seems to nail the role!

I don't know how I feel about it. The emphasis on humans/the kids will help avoid some of the uncanny valley effect attached to a CGi flying elephant. But it's actually looking decent. I don't know if the world needed a CGi Dumbo film though...

Recently some "new" pics popped up on the web, of the unreleased Tim Burton' Superman reboot from the mid-90s starring Nicolas Cage.

To put some background on it, while Warner Brothers let Joel Schumacher put some Bat-nipples on the neon-filled raves that are Batman Forever and Batman & Robin, they almost let Tim Burton do same on the man of steel in Superman Lives.
(and people call Burton a genius... do I need remind you guys he produced those other Bat-flicks and thus approved them?!)

And it starred Nicky!!

Those are taken from some test footage during the production of the unproduced disaster.

Huh..awesome?!

I dunno for you, but I could never ever take Nic Cage as Clark Kent/Superman.
He's just...I dunno... Super-Nicky I guess~

I just love the way that creepy house came to life with all the puppets and stop motion in this scene.



A modern day sequel (as in "Beetlejuice goes Hawaiian", that long rumored sequel that never got made..) would never capture the grittiness/gothic/dark humor of the original.
Specially not with crappy "in your face!" CGi...

Dayum... Winona Ryder was such a cutie back then^__^

In the Superman movie history, there's been a lot off would-be movies starring big blue that never made it past the pre-production stages.

Including a 5th classic Superman movie with Reeves, a Tim Burton Superman movie, another Tim Burton take with Supes on a wheelchair, a Kevin Smith-written one also directed by Burton, a Superman/Batman movie and a hundred more concepts that we may never know about! (including at one point having Nic Cage as Superman himself!!)

With a new movie announced, directed by Zack Snyder, in the work, some scrapped projects have been revealed since some key players, directors or producers won't be involved anymore.
