While technically not a survival horror game, it does share a lot elements with the genre, aside from missing the actual "horror".

VGR Killer Is Dead

Suda's "Kill the past trilogy" might be over, but those theme remain very present in his current work to this day.

Even more so in this game, a sort of culmination of Grasshopper's past decade of games.

Flowers, sun, rain, some guy named Mondo and people killing the past? Time for a Suda51 game!

No More Heroes - 2: Desperate Struggle
Shadows of the Damned
Lollipop Chainsaw

VGR Rocket Knight

Probably my favorite attempt at another retro revival, not simply a remake of a cult classic like those recent Disney remakes (see Land of Illusion or DuckTales) but an actual modern follow-up!

Mascot platformers you ask? Check out the following reviews!

Aero the Acro-Bat - 2 / Astal / Bonk - 2 - 3 / BUG! - Too! / Clockwork Knight - 2
Crash Bandicoot 1 / Croc / Donkey Kong and DK Jr.

Rayman - 2: The Great Escape - 3: Hoodlum Havoc - Origins

Rocket Knight Adventures - Sparkster - RKA2
Sonic 1 - (8 bit)
Tomba! - 2: The Evil Swine Return
Tempo - Jr. - Super Tempo / Tonic Trouble / Wild Woody / Zero the Kamikaze Squirrel

VGR The Last of Us

It took me quite a long while to finally play through this one, and finally review it here.

The Last of Us is a cult game people have already wrote and talked about countless times, but I personally only discovered it through the PS4 re-release since I skipped it last gen. And then I finally got it, and loved playing it.. but with a broken TV these last few months I was stuck with no means to finally finish it...

Anyways - I finally played through this gem, here's the review!

#E3News - Berserk Mosuo/Dynasty Warriors anouncement trailer!!

Alright, E3 is over! You can all go home! The best news to have come out of the show was just revealed:

There's gonna be a new Berserk game! Another "Musou" title from Koei Tecmo, Berserk Musou! After making these One Piece, Zelda and what have you other spinoffs, it's great to see the team that was partially responsible for those great (obscure) Dreamcast and PS2 titles go back to that license.

No idea on the plot, characters or if this will be an adaptation of a specific storyarc or not. But all we know is that the game is slated for PS Vita,  PS3 and PS4 for now.

VGR Wolfenstein: The New Order

While I was gone, they set the world on fire. It wasn't a war anymore, it was a remaking. Some losses are inevitable. Some... unthinkable. Now they've built a new world. Armies of steel and thunder. They're rewriting history.

But they forgot about me.

VGR Silent Hill: Homecoming

After a standalone portable prequel and a movie adaptation, the Silent Hill series was back on track with a proper follow-up installment.

Only this time, it was a much more straightforward sequel.

VGR Lollipop Chainsaw

Sweeter than candy on a stick, huckleberry, cherry, or lime. If you have a choice he'd be your pick, but Lollipop is mine~

Let's celebrate International Women's Day with gaming's most badass chainsaw-wielding gal!

Flowers, sun, rain, some guy named Mondo and people killing the past? Time for a Suda51 game!

No More Heroes - 2: Desperate Struggle

#DeletedScenes - Star Wars 1313

With the acquisition of Star Wars by Disney the franchise finally got some life brought into it and several new projects were quickly put into motion.

Sadly, some other older ones got shoved aside and finally scrapped for good.

1PanelReview Kane & Lynch 1

"I'm so sorry...I'm sorry it ended like this, and I'm sorry I couldn't just die. But I swear. I'll find them all before they find Jenny. I'll kill them all before they even look at her..."

Hitman: Codename 47 - 2: Silent Assassin - Contracts - Blood Money
Hitman (2007)

VGR Rayman Origins

My favorite platformer game in ages. Actually probably also one of my favorite games this past decade!

Rayman seemed to have completely fall off the radar, but he had the chance to get a great comeback, with a lot of style to boot!

Michel Ancel's cartoony hero gets reviewed Eyz-style:

Beyond Good and Evil
Rayman / 2: The Great Escape / Rayman: The Animated Series
Tonic Trouble

VGR Max Payne 3

First they took his wife and daughter. Then they took his life, career and only chance at another life. Now they finally took his hair!

Well, at least they gave him a cool beard!

You and I are all that’s left of the agency, 47. And I doubt I’ll survive much longer.

I’m sorry to hear that. Has my fee been transferred?
