A new Batman has been announced...and it is...
Gotham City Impostors will be a downloadable first-person multiplayer Batman game.
What?
Exactly.
It will be released later this year and is being done by Monolith (FEAR, Aliens vs Predator 2, Condemned) for PS3 and Xbox 360.
Players will be able to join Gotham streets and join either the Bat-ranks by becoming vigilantes or turning into Joker goons as "Jokerz".
Players will be able to customize their characters thanks to loads of "insane costumes, homebrewed gadgets and a wide range of traditional and imagined weapons."
Like they were actually making another unrelated game, but forced it around Batman suddenly.
(seriously an army of gun wielding Bat-men or Jokerz??)

The game shows its true colors...and the tone will definitively be comical.
Kinda emo/gothic/urban/grittish like Arkham Asylum, but comical nonetheless.
(oh my god...are there....the Animaniacs in that water tower???? XD)
