Hi guys, thought I'd pop in my own blog for a thought. Just finished watching Studio Ghibli's latest movie on DVD - that's Kokuriko-zaka kara (literally From Coquelicot Hill) aka From up on Poppy Hill in English (and as you can see here on the DVD's cover, "La Colline aux Coquelicots" in French)
What a lovely movie.
Goro did good this time!
Simple, perhaps, and with a plot a bit convulsed for its own good, but in the end a genuinely good movie.
At least, with a fantastic atmosphere.
Oh, I'll probably end up reviewing it for my Ghibli Marathon anyway.
