But didn't you know at some point it almost was, dare I say, creepier!

Some early test footage of Ridley Scott's cult classic from 1979 has resurfaced lately.
Before the effects guy and H.R.Giger got to fully (re)design the alien creature, they tried some quick practical way to see how the creature would clash with the interior of the Nostromo.
They shot some tests featuring Nigerian actor and model Bolaji Badejo.
He played the alien with creepy eerie simple moves..and it worked so well! (the actual xenomorph would be played similarly later on).
But he could only stay in costume for about 15 to 20 minutes each time. There wasn't any place to breath inside of it.
Giger tried several ideas with Badejo, until he had to rethink the design and thus we ended up with what we got today.

Specially with that enormous alien head, the contrast is quite surreal!
