I planned to make a special Star Wars post for "Star Wars Day".
Then I simply forgot.
And here we are now.
So here's a pretty much improvised little blog post on the Rejected Star Wars Merch you've hopefully never heard of.
And before I forgot, here: "MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU"!

Over the years there's been many, many Star Wars tie-ins. Now that it will be Disney producing the merch, I dunno how it's gonna be like (the same amount? less? much worse?) but back in the George Lucas days people at LucasFilms had to come up with these.
Many of these were produced without getting to the see the movies first (and a lot of those were even produced before the first film!) so without any limit to the imagination and only rough ideas of the films the crew pitched literally thousands of ideas.
All of these had to be approved then.

We might have dodged a bullet on one or two of those... but there's also some missed opportunities.
