#E3 News! Day Two

More E3 news!

Today brought us some news regarding Sony, mostly. And a few other surprises...

Since Microsoft appears to have a solid grasp on the Deadrising franchise from now on, Sony just announced another similar zombie openworld-experience for PS4, Days Gone. It seems to draw a lot from The Last of Us, but had a different sandbox approach. And with a ton of monsters on screen like Capcom's Deadrising franchise is known for. And you get to play as a biker protagonist:

Is that... Sam Witwer? Neat!

In the middle of the presentation, Sony also randomly announced a PS4-exclusive Spider-Man game from Insomniac, the studio behind Spyro, Ratchet & Clank and Sunset Overdrive! Check it out!

An original Spider-man game? Sign me on! Those always turn out better than the movies one! Spidey's new look is a bit odd on first glimpse, but after rewatching it I'm kind of ok with it. It looks like a mix behind his current comic book Parker Industries suit with a hint of the MCU Spider-man. I like it! They said this game will showcase a more seasoned experimented adult Spider-man and he will be facing Mister Negative in this game! Color me surprised!

Following his departure from Konami, Hideo Kojima finally announced his new game now at Sony - Death Stranding. And it's... pretty weird, as you'd expect from the man. In a move to say "F*** you, Konami", he rehired Walking Dead-star Norman Reedus as originally intended for Silent Hills to star in his game... And it's pretty weird. Check this out:

O...kay? Sounds intriguing at least! Are you awaiting to play Norman Reedus-and-his-baby-sidekick: the video game??

Here's a new "interactive movie" by Heavy Rain developers Quantic Dream, Detroit: Become Human. A game set in Detroit, about androids that don’t have any rights.

Ridiculous story? Check! This seems to be a Quantic Dream game alright.

Sony promises The Last Guardian is still coming out this October 25, 2016. It's REAL!!! Here's some footage to prove they won't cancel or delay it anymore this time:

For the 20th Anniversary of the franchise, we finally will be getting a new Resident Evil game. And after the last disastrous logo, this one seems to have a simple but dumb logo:

Resident Evil 7 will be on a brand new engine - the RE Engine. And it will be released for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

The trailer looks all mysterious, but it's decent. If anything the problem is that it sounds nothing like the series at all. The tone and everything is off, this sounds more like Silent Hill for some reason. And the game will support VR - will the FPS view be by default or just for the VR?

The extremely fun-looking Final Fantasy XV gets on the VR experience:

Batman also gets on the VR with another game from developer Rocksteady:

And it won't just be some VR, but a proper new story-driven game.

Finally I think the best news I've personally seen from all of E3 is about Crash Bandicoot's sort of return. While he won't be getting a proper new game - just yet - they're going to remaster (or remake?) the original Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2 and Crash Warped for PS4!! And also, Crash will be added to Spyro's Skylanders Imaginators in October.

Ugh. That face looks awful, I hope the game of the original trilogy won't update his face to that one...

Hopefully it's not just a simply remaster but they give this remake the same Ratchet & Clank treatment!
