AwesomeScenes - "The Hero of Canton"
Remember this awesome song?
Well, looks like I never posted the actual scene from Firefly this song was taken from.
So without further redo, here's easily one of my all-time favorite scenes from the most underrated Firefly series!
Classic!
Such a catchy tune too~

CBR Plastic Man 38-Page Special
Remember Plastic Man? Sure you do!
Here's one more Plastic Man-centric comic book that was released near the end of the 90s. At the height of Grant Morrison's take on the Justice League which brought Plastic Man back to the front of the scene thanks to his slot on the team's roster.
That is when this One Shot special, brilliantly orchestrated by writer-artist Ty Templeton, was released. Its role was having fun and exploring Plas' outside the JLA team (though they do appear here and there, like on this comic's cover)...

Remember Angel and The Ape?
Well, in the DCU, Sam Simeon ("The Ape") is a comic book artist, right?
Did you wonder what Sam's comic strips looked like?
Here's a gag DC published once, back then, drawn (and signed) by Sam Simeon. (which was in reality Sergio Aragones)

Gamin' NEWS! Soul Calibur V Character Creation Mode Trailer
Here's a trailer for the character creation mode for the upcoming Soul Calibur V:
I dunno for you, but I still prefer a good ability to customize/play with hairstyle and clothing of regular characters (Tekken style) than creating your own fighter from scratch... I dunno...
It just makes the actual characters in-game "less special" and end up having lots of random characters running around the game (online or not)...

Halloween 2011 Jack O'Lantern
Oh yeah, I know it's a bit late to post something like this now, but I had totally forgotten to grab the picture I took off the camera and upload it on the blog until now..
There might not be an Halloween back here,
but that didn't stop me from carving a pumpkin (and cathing an horror flick too - Pumpkinhead on DVD).

Conan O'Brien interviews Harland Williams
Here's something I've been having fun with lately.
Harland Williams is a pretty crazy dude. Really funny and oh, so random most of the time.
I've been watching quite a lot of Harland Williams interviews on Conan O'Brien lately.
Ad- Schwarzy looks oh so natural while eating his noodles
He doesn't look much natural in this one. Was this the first time he had cup noodles or was it the traditional clothes? :P

Blog - Laugh Factory
I've been watching a lot of comedy sketches lately. Having fun watching comedians perform on stage.
I've been particularly enjoying the performances from the Laugh Factory.
The Laugh Factory, if you don't know what it is, is a club located in Hollywood, California.
People often perform there for a cause, they like showcase a wide range of comedians from various genres of humor.
Personally I've never been there in person, but they put up a great youtube channel were they often upload sketches and segments from their nights.

Robin Williams' Zelda Ads - Ocarine/Four Swords/Skyward Sword
I was sure I had posted the previous ones when I faved them over at youtube back then...
Oh well.
Well this man, as everyone knows, is Robin Williams.
He's a great comedic actor, a very funny comedian, etc.
As fewer of you probably know is daughter is named Zelda Williams. That's right, he named her after the Legend of Zelda videogame series (and main character princess Zelda).

Marv Wolfman's reaction to Scott Lobdell?
So Scott Lobdell has featured a pretty, errr, saucy Starfire in his current Red Hood and the Outlaws book lately...
Fans have been calling him an "hack" (a bit harsh if you ask me!).
Not just because of the pinup art and posing her around, he only writes the book not draw it!
But also because she was presented as a bimbo, asking for quickies to Roy Harper (Speedy/Arsenal/Red Arrow/whateva) and introduced by Jason Todd!Red Hood as merely an excuse for dudes to high five while checking out her butt.
Unlike Marv Wolfman's deep and complicated Starfire, which was more 3-dimensional, was an actual character with feelings and passions.
The old Kory loved people, was all about the emotions she shined over others, etc.
Wanna know Marv Wolfman's reaction to Scott Lobdell's take on Starfire?
A picture is worth a thousand words!
Glad to see those guys having fun with the controversies btw, and Lobdell for taking like a man :P

Deadly Premonition - Squirrel Keys
So I finally posted my long time in the making Deadly Premonition review but you still have no idea what kinda game this is? Well here's what is probably without a doubt my favorite of the whole game!
York has to find a special key to open something at the sheriff department.
Thankfully Thomas, the local squirrel expert and a sheriff deputy, is here to help York find the right ones.
Classic Deadly Premonition music, epic random dialogues and awkward animation.
Fantastic!

VGR Deadly Premonition
While most "modern gamers" like to call the likes of Modern Warfare, Call of Duty or Battlefield their favorite games, most of the time because they're the latest release or have the shiniest graphics around, I tend to dislike these sort of games.
I mean, it's all taking itself way too serious for me (also the military/war aspect is so tiring after a while, it's all the same to me).
I say, keep those silly games to yourself, they all are and look the same to me. Form over substance.
I'm a retro gamer at heart, and for me these "realistic" HD war-centric games are a bit too generic and boring. It's like fads, wait a decade, will you honestly go back to them or pick up the latest update?
Anyway, I'm always up for giving a chance to one of these lesser known games available on the market. Lately, because of what Capcom did with the recents Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5, I have been trying other lesser known Survival Horror titles...
Then, I found out.. something unlike anything else...
What is Deadly Premonition?
Well, it's a budget game. It might be clunky on some parts, and looks outdated even for such a recent release..
I wouldn't call it "Game of the Year" material, far from it. But even so, the experience is unlike anything else I've played through..
So let me introduce you to what I'd like to call
"The Game Of The CENTURY-Y-Y-Y!"
Tracy Morgan Pregnant!

Music - Still Alive cover by Roomie
Here's a neat find of the day.
Portal's Still Alive ending theme song by some dude named "Roomie".
Okay it starts a bit slow and the guy looks like a douche kinda (sorry Roomie!) but the song is pretty darn catchy. Love the rythm and his rockin' voice!
Check this out:
Awesome!
Exactly what I needed to wake me up one this week's debut sleepy morning.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2011
HAPPY HALLOWEEN, you guys in the US!
(and other countries that still celebrate this day for some reason!)
(well not "some reason", for $$$, that is marketing purposes)
We tried to bring Halloween and implement it here in Switzerland these last few couple of years, but due to the lack of interest from everyone they decided to officially drop it finally this year...
I hope all you guys are having a great time today, celebration today or not.
(Me? Work work work, hey it's a Monday like any other!)
